Why opt for sustainable men's underwear? Embracing eco-conscious choices means supporting fair labour practices and the use of renewable materials such as bamboo, organic cotton, lyocell and hemp.

There are some pretty big issues when it comes to your average high street pants. From cotton production that uses forced child labour and toxic pesticides to polyester which requires 70 million barrels of petroleum to produce each year. Polyester is the most used fabric in our clothes and is the biggest source of microplastics in our oceans.

So to avoid all this, all the brands listed below have clear ethical policies, a commitment to sustainability along with using renewable and sustainable materials that are better for people and planet.

We've compiled our list into 4 categories dependending on their main material:

Bamboo Underwear

Bamboo is a super renewable material. It's thermo-regulating, meaning it will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter, and is moisture-wicking and antibacterial.

TENCEL™ (Tree) Underwear

Also known as lyocell, made from sustainably sourced eucalyptus using an award-winning closed-loop process. It's moisture absorbent, antibacterial, breathable and extremely soft.

Organic Cotton Underwear

Organic cotton works in harmony with nature. It combats climate change, saves and protects water, doesn't use pesticides or fertilisers, and gives control to farmers.

Hemp Underwear

Natural and moisture-wicking, odour resistant, lightweight and breathable. Hemp is incredibly durable and helps to  fight global warming by absorbing 4x more CO2 than trees do.
