8000Kicks has created the world’s first waterproof hemp shoes, combining durability, comfort, and sustainability for men and women. Their footwear and accessories are made from industrial hemp—one of the planet’s most sustainable and durable fibres—sourced from certified partners in Europe and China, and crafted in factories using up to 55% renewable energy.
Each pair features water- and dust-proof hemp uppers, vegan materials, and ecological soles made from algae. 8000Kicks’ hemp fabric is OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring no toxic substances are used. The brand’s carbon footprint per pair is just 4.1kg CO2, significantly lower than industry averages, and they offset emissions by planting trees and supporting CO2-capturing projects.
Founded in Portugal in 2019, 8000Kicks also donates shoes and masks to those in need and encourages customers to recycle or donate used pairs. Their packaging is made from recycled cardboard and compostable corn starch mailers.
